Video widgets are used for embedding and displaying videos on Content pages to increase reader engagement and can help present information more effectively. Readers will be able to watch the videos without leaving your Turtl Doc, and you'll be able to collect analytics including video views and average view time.
In this article, we'll walk you through the basics of Video widgets, including how to add, style, format, and configure a Video widget.
Add a Video widget
Upload: Drag and drop a video or click to open the file picker.
Embed: Embed from another website.
Library: Select from your company's shared library.
Upload history: Select from your previous uploads.
Embed from:
Youtube / Youtube playlist
any MP4 / WEBM video hosted online (URL ending in .mp4 or .webm)
Notes:
The file upload size is limited to 20MB. Smaller video files load faster for your readers.
Autoplaying videos on Content pages is not recommended. Reader interaction with a widget helps us gather data on whether they choose to play the video and how long they watch it. Therefore, autoplay is not an available feature in Turtl. However, embedding videos from certain video hosting providers (e.g., Microsoft Stream) may allow this functionality.
Video widget thumbnail
Video thumbnails can be adjusted for uploaded videos or videos embedded via direct links. For embedded videos from hosting providers, the thumbnail from the service will be displayed automatically. To use a custom thumbnail, check with the provider to see if this feature is available.
Adjust the thumbnail:
Hover over a Video widget in the Content page editor until the Widget toolbar appears at the top.
Click "Edit video Url"
Click on the "Embed" tab in the Insert Video window.
Use the slider to choose a frame from a video.
Press "Update" to save the thumbnail.

Choose to set all the corners at once or each one individually.
