Supported chart providers

You can use the chart widget to insert online charts made using the following third-party providers:

Note: You will need to create an account directly with your chosen third-party provider. Charts created with these providers are supported by Turtl, but the providers' software is not part of the Turtl platform itself.

Add a Chart widget

  1. Click the "+ Add content" button.

  2. Select "Chart" from Content menu.

Paste the URL of your completed chart into the URL box (find out more about which URL to use for your chosen provider below).

Embedded Chart widget

Notes:

  • If you would like to use Embedded mode, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Customer Support to enable it in your Editor.

  • This setting prevents the chart from opening in a lightbox, which means we can't accurately track the time readers spend interacting with it. The interaction timer begins when the Content page opens and stops when the reader leaves.

  • Because the non-embedded version offers a more accurate interaction tracking we only advise this setting if you need to prioritize the direct interaction.

The embedded setting allows you to embed your chart directly on the Content page. When enabled, readers can interact with charts, hover over the chart's data points, and see tooltips directly on the Content page without first having to open them in a lightbox. Additionally, the chart adjusts to the given space (width and height), unlike the standard version, which displays a chart preview image with a fixed aspect ratio.

Enabling the Embedded setting:

  1. Hover over a Chart widget in Preview. Right-click on it or click on the three-dot icon.

  2. Click on the "More options" in the Content menu.

  3. The Chart configuration window opens.

  4. Under the Layout tab, Enable the Embedded toggle to activate.

  5. Press "OK" to save your changes.

Note: The Chart widget might take a little longer to load because it’s not utilizing the preview thumbnail anymore.
