Content page widgets

Learn about the different widgets available for Content pages

The Editor offers several easy-to-use widgets that can help to make your content more engaging, visual, and interactive.

Each widget opens directly within your Turtl content, keeping contacts engaged with your content. For example, they can explore a Google Map on the content page while continuing to read the adjacent content, no extra tabs or windows required.

In order to boost your content's interactivity and keep your contacts engaged, we recommend that you include at least one widget per page.

Let's look at each widget in detail:

Polls

Polls are a great way to gather feedback, gauge audience opinions, or simply add an interactive element to your content. Once you've added a poll widget, you have the flexibility to choose between a single-choice or multiple-choice poll.

The possibility to display or hide poll results gives you complete control over the appearance and functionality of your poll.

Images

Add images to your Content pages using the Image widget. This is one of the easiest ways to break up text and make your content look more appealing. Once inserted, there are a number of formatting options available, such as zooming, adding captions, and hyperlinking your image to an external URL or another Turtl Doc.

Quotes

Add shareable quotations to your text to draw reader's eye to the most important elements of your content. Quotes are shareable across social media and email (you can enable/disable this functionality where required). Find out how to add quotations here.

Charts

Instead of including important data as static charts, spruce up your reading experience with the interactive chart widget. This makes data more visually appealing and encourages your audience to engage directly with the information. You can add any interactive charts created with the following cloud-based third-party providers:

Video

This widget inserts videos that play directly on your Content page. A reliable way to boost page engagement, videos tend to increase time spent on the page. In your Doc analytics, you can see how many times your video has been viewed and for how long.

You can also embed videos hosted elsewhere:

Audio

You can include audio within your Content page level. Find out more here.

Embedded Forms

Embed 3rd party forms directly into your Landing pages or Turtl Doc content pages, asking the contacts to fill in their details and hear more from you.

Maps

The Google Maps widget allows readers to open and explore your map directly within the Turtl Doc, reducing the need for external pages and tabs.

PDF

You can include a PDF directly in your content by uploading it or embedding it from another hosted location. Readers can then view the entire PDF within the content itself, helping keep them engaged for longer. Find out more here

Text Boxes

Text boxes are ideal for directing readers to an important snippet of your content. Change their appearance, choosing from a selection of predefined Brand styles. Your Brand may include colored boxes or specialized icons and graphics. Below is an example of text inserted with the Text box widget. You can find out more here.

Heading 1

Heading 1 is a Text box widget with large heading text formatting pre-applied. Use it to add a bold, prominent title to your content page — ideal for introducing a new section or anchoring the top of a page. Find out more about the Text box widget.

Heading 2

Heading 2 is a Text box widget with medium heading text formatting pre-applied. Use it to add a sub-heading or secondary title to your content page, helping to break up content and guide your reader through the page. Find out more about the Text box widget.

Call to Action

The Call to Action (CTA) is a Text box widget with a hyperlink pre-applied, designed to direct your readers to a specific destination. When added, the CTA links to a placeholder URL (https://www.example.com) — You will need to update this link before publishing. You can also apply a style to match your brand guidelines. Find out more about the Text box widget.

HTML

The HTML widget allows you to embed custom HTML or iFrame code directly into a content page, making it useful for embedding external content that doesn't have a dedicated widget, such as a published Google Sheet or a third-party tool.

Note: The HTML widget is not enabled by default for all accounts. If you have a use case that requires it, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or contact customer support to discuss enabling it.

⚠️ Proceed with caution. This widget is intended for users who are confident working with HTML. Please be aware of the following before using it:

  • Turtl is not responsible for any custom code added via the HTML widget. It is your responsibility to ensure that the embedded code works as intended.

  • Because Turtl has no control over the code added, it can cause unexpected behaviour in the editor. For this reason, we strongly recommend adding any HTML widget content as the very last step in your editing process, once your Doc is otherwise complete.

  • Incorrect or unsupported code can have unintended effects on your content. If you're unsure, reach out to support before using it.
