Turtl allows embedding third-party forms by providing the form's URL.

The Turtl script and the process of adding it depends on the service*. This article explains what Turtl script does and why is it necessary, but also what to provide for custom styling of the 3rd-party form.

What does Turtl script do?

Once successfully implemented, the Turtl script enables to:

  1. Use Turtl branded styles for a seamless appearance of a third-party form within Turtl Doc.*

  2. Hide the gated form after the reader's form submission to allow continuous reading.

  3. Control the height of the form and its perfect adaptation to the space available.

  4. Capture leads and, with full integration set up, display them with full name and email on the Turtl Dashboard.

  5. Prefill (hidden) form fields.

Note (*): Turtl supports some basic 3rd-party form styling for the following services: Hubspot, Marketo, Force24, DotDigital, Wishpond, and Spotler.

However, in case the service is not supported or additional custom styles are needed, the Turtl team will need to prepare custom styles for your form.

Note: Please reach out to support@turtl.co or your Customer Success Manager to discuss adding custom styles to your form.

What do we need to prepare custom styles?

Before we start work, we need a test form prepared by the customer.

The form should have:

  1. A consistent layout

    1. Label-field pair as a single row

    2. No placeholders

    3. Checkbox field on left side and label on right side

  2. As many different field types as possible:

    1. Submit button

    2. Input text

    3. Email

    4. Select/dropdown

    5. Checkbox

    6. Radio button

    7. Textarea

    8. etc.

  3. Recaptcha (if it exists)

  4. Heading and disclaimer

  5. No visual elements like header, footer, logo, etc. (these are handled by Turtl brand styles)

  6. No cookie banners (cookies are handled by Turtl)
