Duplicate widget

You can duplicate a widget from the Widget menu.

  1. Hover over a widget in Preview. Right-click on it or click the three-dot icon.

  2. Click on the "Duplicate" option in the Widget menu.

  3. Your selected widget gets duplicated.

Note: The duplicated version of a widget gets placed right below the original widget in the Content page editor.

Copy and paste

Notes:

- Cut and paste is also available. Use Control-X (⌘ Command+X) instead.

- Pinned widgets don’t retain their position but paste as unpinned.

Single widget

  1. Click on the widget outline in the Content page editor.
(Widget is selected when there’s a dark outline around it.)

  2. Copy widget using keyboard shortcut Control-C (or ⌘ Command+C)

  3. Paste using the keyboard shortcut Control-V (or ⌘ Command+V).

Multiple widgets

Note: Highlighting multiple widgets in the Content page editor is possible only when the column grid is selected.

When editing a Content page with the column grid you can highlight multiple widgets to copy/cut and paste. This includes all the widgets (images, videos, audio, etc…). Use it to quickly duplicate content, move it to another Content page, or a different Doc entirely.

  1. Highlight the content to copy/cut in the Content page editor.

  2. Copy/cut the highlighted content using the keyboard shortcut Control-C
    (or ⌘ Command+C)

  3. Move your cursor to a new location.

  4. Paste using the keyboard shortcut Control-V (or ⌘ Command+V).

Tip: Add an empty line before/after the content for easier selection.

If you have many pinned widgets on the destination page they can cause the newly pasted content to be pushed around it in the document "flow", leaving it on different pages.
