Overview analytics download terminology

How to download

You can download two reports from your dashboards using the Download button on the top right of the dashboard, an "Overview" report and a "Reads" report with more metrics available.

To access them simply click the arrow on the "download" button in the top right of the dashboard:

Overview Analytics Report

The report has different information based on which analytics dashboard you download from.

Team dashboard

The Team dashboard report contains the following tabs:

  • Totals - here you can find all the key metrics summarized from the dashboard (e.g. reads, readers, sign-ups, shares)

  • Timeline - reads and signups split out by date

  • Shares - how many times your Doc has been shared, split out by social channel

  • Devices - reads and signups by device, e.g. desktop, mobile or tablet

  • Locations - reads and signups by the country the reader was located in

  • Referrals - reads and signups by referral source. This is how your reader accessed your Doc, e.g. through a direct link, a search engine result or a social channel

  • Sources - reads and signups by specific sources. These sources will depend on where you’ve shared your Turtl Docs.

  • Operating System - reads, readers and signups by operating system (and which version) e.g. Windows 10, Windows 11 or Mac OS 10

  • Browser - reads, readers and signups by browser (and which version) e.g. Chrome 99 or Safari 15

  • Docs - here you can find all your key metrics split out by each of your Docs. You can see information about each Doc such as the ID, title and Doc URL

  • Known Readers - if you have set up any of your Docs to collect individual reader analytics then you can see the key data displayed here, split out by reader

  • Personalizations - here you can see analytics for each of your personalized Docs, including key metrics as well as the user/personalizer inputs from the personalization form. You can read more about personalization analytics here.

Turtl Doc dashboard

The Turtl Doc dashboard report contains the following tabs:

  • Totals - here you can find all the key metrics summarized from the dashboard (e.g. reads, readers, sign-ups, shares)

  • Page Performance - all of the key metrics split out by each of the Surf pages in your Turtl Doc

  • UTM Sources - if you have sent out any Turtl Docs using UTM tags then you can find your key metrics split out by these UTM tags here

  • Readers - if you have set up your Turtl Doc to collect individual reader analytics then you can see the key data displayed here, split out by reader

  • Readers By Content - similar to the ‘Readers’ tab. If the readers accessed a personalized version of your Doc, you can see the personalization ID and title here too

  • Audio - if you have added any audio to your Turtl Doc you can see a list of these here

  • Images - see key metrics about interactions with images in your Turtl Doc, e.g. the number of views and average view times

  • Interactions - a breakdown of clicks on links in your Turtl Doc

  • Polls - if you have any polls in your Turtl Doc you can see the results of them here

  • Videos - if you have any videos in your Turtl Doc you can see key metrics about them here, including the number of views and the average view time

  • Timeline - reads, readers and signups split out by date

  • Shares - how many times your Doc has been shared, split out by social channel

  • Devices - all your key metrics split out by device, e.g. desktop, mobile or tablet

  • Locations - reads and signups by the country the reader was located in

  • Devices - reads and signups by the device the reader accessed your Docs through, e.g. desktop, mobile or tablet

  • Locations - reads and signups by the country the reader was located in

  • Referrals - reads and signups by referral source. This is how your reader accessed your Doc, e.g. through a direct link, a search engine result or a social channel

  • Sources - reads and signups by specific sources. These sources will depend on where you’ve shared your Turtl Docs

Reads analytics report
