Brands in Turtl

What are Brands, the difference between Standard and Custom Brands and how to tweak them

Updated today

What is a Brand?

A Brand in Turtl is a set of variables that match your visual identity to the Turtl platform. Core brand assets, such as logos, fonts, and color palettes, are included in every Brand by default. More complex graphic elements can be locked into a Custom Brand.

What are the benefits of a Brand?

With Brands, every Turtl Doc you create will use your brand visuals. All colors, logos, and fonts that your company approves will be readily available for you to start creating Turtl Docs. This ensures that your content matches your visual identity and is consistent, with no rogue colors or fonts to disrupt your flow. In addition, it also reduces the time needed to create content, because commonly used styling doesn't have to be created from scratch.

Can I make changes to my Brand?

At Turtl, we know that branding can be fluid and is prone to change. Turtl Brands allow you to quickly reflect branding changes in your content all at once, without needing to redesign each piece individually.

You can request a Brand tweak for Standard, Standard Plus, and Custom Brands by getting in touch with your Customer Success Manager or our Customer Support team at support@turtl.co.

Some Brand adjustments can be made to individual Turtl Docs using Doc Extensions, while others need to be updated on the Brand level. When making changes at the Brand level, all Docs using that Brand will be updated automatically.

Note: Any changes to your Brand must be approved by your account’s stakeholder or budget holder, along with your Turtl representative. Depending on your pricing plan, there may be limitations to what can be changed for your Brand.
