What information does the tracking code collect by default?
The Microsoft Dynamics tracking code collects the following engagement activities by default:
Website/page visits — A page-view event is recorded each time a tracked page loads.
Link clicks — An event is recorded each time a reader clicks a link on a tracked page. The full destination URL is captured.
How does the collected information appear in Microsoft Dynamics?
You can verify that tracking is working by creating new content, viewing it, and then checking whether the page-view activities appear in Microsoft Dynamics.
To view the collected data:
Navigate to Contacts.
Open the relevant contact record.
Select the Summary tab.
Review the Timeline section.
Website/page visits and link clicks will appear as activity entries in the Timeline, alongside the contact's other engagement history.
