How to download reader analytics activity

Understanding the headings and metrics in your analytics reads data

Downloading "Reads" raw data from your analytics dashboard gives you a detailed breakdown of your content analytics. To download this data, click on the drop-down arrow next to "Download" and select "Reads".

Reads data metrics

Tenant

The Tenant is the name of your dedicated company.

Read_id

Every visit gets a unique session identifier. If the session lasts longer than 30 minutes, the existing session is closed and a new session identifier is assigned.

Read_url

The Turtl Doc URL of the page where the reader first landed. This lets you know which Surf or Immerse page the user has landed on.

Utm_campaign

The name of the campaign you set up. This might be your website or a product promotion.

Utm_source

Identifies the platform where the traffic originates, like Facebook or your email newsletter.

Utm_medium

The advertising or marketing medium, such as a banner or email newsletter.

Utm_term

Identifies paid search keywords during a tracking campaign.

Utm_content

Used to differentiate similar content or links within the same ad.


Reader_id

Every visitor is given a unique reader identifier that gets stored in a cookie. The reader identifier is used to track visitors across each Turtl Doc. If the cookies are cleared, a new reader identifier is assigned.

Reader_email

Reader email is taken from the lead capture form. This is only applicable if the lead capture integration is set up.

Reader_name

Reader name is also taken from the lead capture form. This is only applicable if the lead capture integration is set up.

Store_id

The reader's unique ID from where their known reader information is stored.

Store_name

Where your known reader information is stored. If your CRM is integrated with Turtl, it will show here. "Turtl" will appear if you don't have one set up. "Internal" means the reader had access to the Doc either through SSO or email authentication (source will show as Authentication too).

Job Title

The reader's job title is taken from the lead capture form. This is only applicable if the lead capture integration is set up.

Department

The reader's department is taken from the lead capture form. This is only applicable if the lead capture integration is set up.


Phone Number

The reader's phone number title is taken from the lead capture form. This is only applicable if the lead capture integration is set up.

Workspace_id

The Workspace identifier.

Workspace_name

The name of the Workspace.

Doc_id

The unique Turtl Doc identifier.

Doc_title

The Turtl Doc title.

Doc_labels

The labels applied to the Turtl Doc.

Doc_created_by

The unique Turtl Doc author identifier.

Doc_created_by_name

The Turtl Doc author.

Personalization_id

The personalization identifier. This is only applicable if the Doc is a personalization.

Personalization_title

The title of the personalization. This is only applicable if the Doc is a personalization.

Personalization_created_by

The personalization of unique author identifier. This is only applicable if the Doc is a personalization.

Personalization_created_by_name

The personalization author's name. This is only applicable if the Doc is a personalization.

Personalization_batch_id

The batch personalization unique identifier. This is only applicable if the Doc belongs to a batch personalization.

Personalization_batch_title

The batch personalization title. This is only applicable if the Doc belongs to a batch personalization.

Agent_source

The source website the agent came from. This is often empty due to protocol restrictions. We recommend using UTM tags instead to segment sessions.

Agent_device_type

The device used by the agent.

Agent_browser_name

The browser name.

Agent_browser_version

The browser version.

Agent_os_name

The operating system name.

Agent_os_version

The operating system version.

Agent_ip

The session IP.

Geo_country

The country that the session is coming from. This is based on the session IP.

Geo_city

The city that the session is coming from. This is based on the session IP.

Source_iframe

This will show as "True" if the session originates from an iframe, and "False" otherwise.

Source_lightbox

This will show as "True" if the session originates from a lightbox, and "False" otherwise.

Ts

The session timestamp.

Count_session

The number of times the Turtl Doc has been opened during the session.

Count_read

The number of reads during the session. A session converts to a read when a visitor interacts with the Doc. For example, if they navigate to the next page.

Count_signup

The number of signups during the session.

Click_link

The number of link clicks during the session.

Click_chart

The number of chart clicks during the session.

Click_image

The number of image clicks during the session.

Click_poll

The number of poll clicks during the session.

Click_audio

The number of audio widget clicks during the session.

Click_video

The number of video widget clicks during the session.

Click_share

The number of share clicks during the session.

Click_share_quote

The number of share quote clicks during the session.

Click_share_poll

The number of share poll clicks during the session.

Click_pdf_download

The number of PDF downloads during the session.

Click_pdf

The number of PDF clicks during the session.

Time_read

Time spent on the Doc in milliseconds.

Time_read_surf

Time spent on the Surf pages of the Doc.

Time_read_immerse

Time spent on the Immerse pages of the Doc.

Time_view_image

Time spent viewing images in the Doc.

Time_view_pdf

Time spent viewing PDFs in the Doc.

Time_view_chart

Time spent viewing charts in the Doc.

Time_play_audio

Time spent playing audio in the Doc.

Time_play_video

Time spent playing video in the Doc.

Is_initialized

If the session is initialized. This means if the reader opens the Turtl Doc, you will see the value 1. If the Doc is not opened the value will be 0.

Is_interactive

If the reader has interacted with the Turtl Doc during the session. If the reader progresses past the Cover page, the value will be 1. If the reader makes no interactions after opening the Doc, the value will be 0.

Is_banned_ip

If the IP from the session is on any of the blocked IP lists the value will be 1. If the IP from the session is not blocked the value will be 0.

Snapshot_dt

Date of the current snapshot.
